In the framework of the Erasmus+ project CISOTRA, Action Synergy has gathered different best practices related with the inclusion and care of unaccompanied minors from different fields. Here, these best practices are presented:
In the field of the coordination of different actors that are active in the sector, the practice that was selected is the Athens Coordination Center for Migrant and Refugee issues (ACCMR). You can read here more about this practice and also watch the relevant video presentation.
From the field of vocational learning and labour market inclusion, it was selected the practice of ANKAA project which combines vocational learning with social enterprise. You can read here more about this practice.
From the field of the child protection, there was selected the Guardianship Network for Unaccompanied Minors which was developed and implemented by Metadrasi NGO. Read here more about this practice.
From the field of social inclusion, there have been selected three practices. Firstly there was selected the “Young Journalists” project, implemented by the Network for the Rights of the Child where young migrants have developed their own newspaper. Then, it was selected the practice “Nature’s Common Third”, The Garden of Inclusion which was implemented by Athirma NGO and brought together unaccompanied minors with local youth in order to commonly produce an agricultural product. You can read here more information about this practice.
Finally, the last practice that was selected is from the field of social inclusion through the use of sports. Here, it was selected the Hope Refugees F.C. which is promoted by the Organisation Earth and has organised a football team for refugees and migrants as well as a summer camp for migrant children.
