We shared an excellent experience during the training of the European Erasmus+ project From Peer to Peer that took place in Leuven, Belgium from September 30th to October 8th of 2017. During those nine days organized by Melanie Van Oort, we exchanged, in a very effective and lively way, educational methodologies that focused on better education from the point of view of social inclusion, combating discrimination, segregation and bullying.
The training was perfectly organized and in a wise way combining the theoretical part, which is a necessary knowledge of the issues concerning bullying, that we are called to confront or even resolve as educators, as citizens and as people of Europe and combined along with the practical, experiential part, which provided us with tools to make us better able to achieve it.
Melanie Van Oort from UC Leuven-Limburg was an amazing hostess who had organized everything perfectly, combining the sensitivity of the teacher’s personality with the organizational skill of a coordinator of a demanding training program that had to strictly keep the time, without becoming devastating and monotonous.
I sincerely thank all the participants who, with courtesy, consistency, good mood, humor, synergy and resilience have contributed to make a very interesting educational meeting with an exchange of thoughts and ideas that made us all richer and wiser in dealing with problems of violence in education. But especially it helped all of us to come one step closer to Europe’s drive by “moving minds”.
Most of all, I would like to thank the Action Synergy team for the excellent cooperation and the chance they gave me to be part of a well organised educational program.
Thank you very much. I send you my love and appreciation.
