The Research and Development Department is responsible for the development of online tools and education related solutions for online and distance learning. It is developing e-learning platforms customized according to the needs of different target sectors.
The main product that is developed and supported by the Research and Development Department is the “E-Learning Toolkit” e-learning platform. This e-learning platform has been used for the organization of e-learning courses in various fields (language learning, teacher training, vocational education and training, internal company training, in-service training etc) and has been adopted by many schools and companies for the organization of e-learning courses on the basis of their own needs. It has been used from users all over the world. The platform each time is customized in order to meet in the best possible way the needs of the clients. It was also adapted in order to be accessible through mobile phones.
“E-Learning Toolkit” platform supports multimedia integration in the e-learning course in a flexible way, the students’ learning through various learning support tools (glossary, learning resources, assessment exercises etc), the monitoring of the students through a Learning Management System, the communication between the user and the tutor through internal messages, forum, voice mail, teleconference etc.
