Well – Youth Project

Sep 23, 2024

In response to the global COVID-19 pandemic, the project addresses the urgent need to mitigate the impact of prolonged unemployment on the mental health of young individuals. The pandemic has exacerbated challenges such as stress, anxiety, and social exclusion, underscoring the necessity for innovative approaches to foster social inclusion, enhance digital skills, and support overall well-being in the face of unprecedented disruptions to education and employment.

The project focuses on integrating users into society and the labor market through a pedagogical innovation methodology, leveraging digital and counseling tools to positively impact motivation and knowledge. It aims to equip young people with skills to navigate challenges arising from pandemic-related unemployment, contributing to the reorganization of professional and social life. The initiative also addresses the negative health effects of unemployment, emphasizing the importance of developing youth worker skills and introducing new certification approaches using Open Badge for skills and competencies.

Project Aim

The project aims to strengthen the social and emotional skills of young, making them more adaptable to new learning and working environments while preparing them for the labor market with balanced mental health. Additionally, by developing the skills of youth workers, the project empowers them to guide and support young individuals in their personal, social, and educational development. The anticipated outcomes include a methodological learning framework (Well Youth), a Well Youth MOOC course, and the interactive online application Youth Move ON.
