May 20, 2025

We’re thrilled to announce the successful completion of our international training series designed to build the capacity of youth workers in using podcasts and vid-casts as tools for youth engagement and empowerment.

Over the course of four intensive webinars (each lasting three hours), 25 youth workers from five partner countries came together to learn, collaborate, and grow their digital media skills. This innovative series aimed to provide participants with the tools and knowledge to effectively integrate digital storytelling and communication into their work with young people.

What We Covered:

Our training sessions focused on both soft and technical skills, exploring key areas relevant to today’s digital youth work landscape:

Each webinar was recorded for future reference and accompanied by post-session evaluations. These evaluations assessed the relevance of content, participant engagement, technical performance, and learning outcomes—and the results were overwhelmingly positive!

By recognising that everyone brings a unique set of strengths, challenges, experiences and perspectives to the learning environment, inclusive education seeks to ensure that all students, including those with disabilities, are given equal opportunities for academic and social development (Portobello Institute, 2024).
