In October, the Action Team travelled to Lyon for the DIS-Abilities Erasmus+ project’s transnational meeting and final conference.
On 7 October, the consortium – featuring partners from Greece, Spain, Italy, and France – held a preparatory meeting ahead of the final conference the following day.
The final conference marked the conclusion of this three-year journey, highlighting key project results such as:
𝐴 𝐵𝑜𝑜𝑘 𝑜𝑓 𝐺𝑜𝑜𝑑 𝑃𝑟𝑎𝑐𝑡𝑖𝑐𝑒𝑠 𝑓𝑟𝑜𝑚 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑓𝑜𝑢𝑟 𝑝𝑎𝑟𝑡𝑛𝑒𝑟 𝑐𝑜𝑢𝑛𝑡𝑟𝑖𝑒𝑠,
𝐴 𝑠𝑒𝑡 𝑜𝑓 𝑡𝑟𝑎𝑖𝑛𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑚𝑜𝑑𝑢𝑙𝑒𝑠 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑙𝑜𝑐𝑎𝑙 𝑎𝑐𝑡𝑖𝑣𝑖𝑡𝑖𝑒𝑠, 𝑎𝑛𝑑

The conference welcomed the participation of the Secretary General of the Interministerial Committee on Disability, the President of the Civic Service Agency, Team Europe Direct, as well as educators, teachers, and professionals working in the field of disability inclusion.
Representing the Greek team, Poppy Kefaloukou a speech therapist involved in the local focus group, shared her personal experience and reflected on the significance and impact of the White Book’s recommendations. She also took part in the workshop “The Role of Care in the Context of Inclusive Mobility: Fears and Levers,” facilitated by Mai from Action Synergy.
Meanwhile, Rallou from Liminal showcased her organisation’s good practices during the workshop “Conditions for Participation of Persons with Disabilities – Involvement of Persons, Valuing Their Experience, and Recognising Their Expertise.” facilitated by Dorian from LESPEP69.
We extend our biggest thanks to all participants whose dedication contributed to the success of both the project and its final conference. While the DIS-Abilities project comes to an end, its impact on promoting inclusion continues to grow.
