The last parents training workshop organised in the framework of the Young Digital Leaders project was organised in the 2nd High School of Gerakas which hosted also a students training workshop. The parents of the school had the chance to discuss the results of the project and be informed on issues related with digital citizenship.
The last teacher training workshop organised in the framework of the Young Digital Leaders project was organised in Mytilene, in the island of Lesvos. The training was organised on the 8th of June and it was hosted by KEKAPEL, the vocational training centre of the North Aegean Region in Lesvos. During the seminar, teachers from Lesvos had the chance to discuss issues related with digital citizenship, fake news, online sterotypes, rights and obbligations in the internet etc.
A parent training workshop with the title “Building the Education of the Active Digital Citizen” was realised in the framework of the Young Digital Leaders project on Tuesday 4th of June in the Cultural Centre of Aghios Stafanos in cooperation with the headteachers of the Municipality of Dionysos, the Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Education and the Centre for the Prevention of Addictions, DIEXODOS.
The 4th and last meeting of the #PlayEurope project was organised on the 3rd and 4th of June in the offices of Action Synergy in Athens. The project is co-financed by the Erasmus+ programme and aims to promote social entrepreneurship among young people in 8 European countries.
After the successful Young Digital Leaders event in Athens, Action Synergy visited Sparta to deliver there the YDL training. We were hosted by Yiannis Ritsos school. Young Digital Leaders is a Europe-wide pilot project, sponsored by Google, that aims to empower young people through digital citizenship, critical thinking and media literacy skills, beyond the classroom, so that they can grow up safe, responsible digital leaders. Action Synergy is the partner of Google and ISD for the implementation of this initiative in Greece.
