Last week we were in Bhubaneswar, India for the final training of the project CulTY. The main aim of CulTY is to promote the cooperation between Europe and Asia in the field of youth and explore the potential of youth work in order to increase the entrepreneurship and employability of the young people in the field of alternative cultural tourism enterprises.

The training program was attended by partners and youth workers from Greece, Italy, India and Vietnam. In Bhubaneswar we had the chance to hear from people working in the local community on the field of tourism. We also did workshops with the youth workers concerning new ideas that would help the development of alternative cultural tourism in the area.

Then, we visited a village with 100 inhabitants that was located in the area of Odisha. A unique experience of a place where the development in many levels is a challenge but the potential is there. A place where all partners agreed that the main priority should be to respect its originality.
Different tourism models were experienced by the partnership in Karnak where we saw local groups performing traditional dances and selling traditional products and in Puri where we visited the seaside market.
