“The three-day film festival in Amman was an incredible experience. Watching our film in an open-air cinema in Jordan was something I would have never imagined. I truly appreciated the chance to connect with people beyond Europe, especially from Egypt, Tunisia, and Lebanon. It made me realize that many things I take for granted as a European citizen are not the same for everyone.
Throughout this program, I gained valuable technical skills in filmmaking, and I am very grateful for that. Starting from zero and working together as a diverse group to create a film was an unforgettable journey.
During our stay in Amman, we also participated in a workshop where we were divided into four different teams and tasked with creating short films about war and climate change. This was really challenging, as we didn’t have much time and often had to compromise on technical aspects. Still, by working together as a team, we managed to create something we were truly proud of!
Finally, watching the films from all the participating countries was deeply inspiring. It showed me how cinema can go beyond storytelling—it can embody values such as human rights, solidarity, and dialogue.
And to top it all off, our film won the award for Global Solidarity—something I didn’t expect, but it truly felt like the cherry on top of this unforgettable journey!” – Shared by Giannis Vasileiou – one of Greek partcipants

Asimina shared about her experience: “This was my very first attempt to step into the world of cinema. It all started some time ago, through the workshops we attended, which I found incredibly inspiring. They sparked my curiosity and gave me the courage to try expressing myself through the art of film. From the very beginning, the whole journey felt unique. The support and care we received from the team in Greece made me feel safe, motivated, and truly appreciated in what we were doing. By the time we reached Jordan, the experience had already been amazing — but there, it truly reached its peak.
Those three days were filled with unforgettable moments, with encounters that went far beyond filmmaking. Meeting wonderful people from different cultures was magical. Despite our differences, we discovered how much we actually share — in perspectives, in values, in the way we look at life. It made me realize how small my personal worries can seem when compared to the bigger picture.
I admired people I had just met and felt as though I had found new friends. So, when the time came for the screenings, there was no pressure or competition — only love, excitement, and genuine curiosity to see how each one of us chose to tell their story. Two moments will stay with me forever: the pure joy and sincere support shown by everyone whenever a team screened their film or won an award, and that last night together, when no one wanted it to end. We stayed up making plans for our next meeting, with Greece standing out as the most likely destination. I will carry this experience with me forever. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart.”

Dionysis shared that “It’s still fresh and I haven’t metabolized much. I feel full. I feel enriched. I’ve met a lot of artistic, smart, good people that I can name them friends! In such short time I’ve lived experiences equal to months. Deep connections and conversations. I wish I had more time with these people. I wish that life will give me the chance to meet them again and again.”
